During WLA2010, you will be educated and entertained by some of the world's most respected thought leaders, including Alexander Manu, a leading authority on change, innovation and strategic foresight. On Monday 1 November, Alexander will deliver a keynote address on the challenges and opportunities the mobile society has created for lotteries worldwide. He will expand on this in a more intensive workshop on the same day. Don't miss this chance to learn how to identify new competitive spaces, develop new competencies and create a competitive advantage for your organisation. Tuesday 2 November is the 150th anniversary of Australia's most famous thoroughbred horse race - the Melbourne Cup - and to mark the occasion, WLA 2010 delegates will be treated to an afternoon of themed activities in the Trade Show Hall. This special event will commence with lunch and drinks at 1.00pm, followed by live coverage of the race from Melbourne at 2.00pm. Pick your favourite horse (or jockey!), place a bet, and enjoy the most famous event on Australia's sporting calendar. |
WLA 2010 will take place in mid-Spring, so expect temperatures of 14-30°C. For your comfort on hot days, bring summer clothes made of light, natural fabrics, a hat and sunscreen. For cooler nights, a light coat, pullover and trousers are recommended. Don't forget to pack comfortable walking shoes and a rain jacket / umbrella as well. The dress code for the Closing Dinner is cocktail wear, so pack something suitable if you plan to attend. Similarly, if you plan to participate in the Networking Day at Tangalooma Resort, Moreton Island on the final day of the Convention, bring casual clothes, swimwear and summer footwear. |
